Empowering Community Transformation
The heart of our work is a passionate commitment to wholistic (or holistic) transformation. We work with whole communities to transform the whole of life physically, spiritually, and socially.
We focus on what people can become, rather than what they lack. Instead of giving handouts, we give a hand up. We provide training in practical skills, so communities can make positive improvements in their living conditions. We help prevent disease, protect clean water sources, devise sanitation systems, and increase agricultural productivity. We assist in micro-enterprise development. We walk side-by-side with people, bringing encouragement and hope. We help communities become stronger in body, mind and spirit, not weak and dependent.
As a Christian organization we follow Jesus, who treated all people with equal dignity. In his spirit, we reject any form of religious coercion and invite people to freely put their trust in God, who cares about every aspect of our lives. Through his Spirit we find the true power of transformation.
In our programs we serve people regardless of religion, race or ethnicity, respecting all human beings as created in the image of God.
