Objectives
Our objectives are both simple and yet aggressive. First, we aim to have Community Health Evangelism practiced in all developing nations by the year 2015. Currently, we are approximately 70% to this goal. Secondly, we desire to share our wisdom related to working with the poor, which we have acquired through experience with other Non-government organizations (NGO's). We believe we have a responsibility to train others so sustainable transformation with dignity can take place on a wide scale basis. Finally, we believe our organization has a role in educating the broader church body and the public on not only the root causes of poverty, but also proper ways of breaking the binds of poverty.
Primary Strategies
At LifeWind International, we align our strategies in three distinct facets of operation. Our first strategy targets our work in the field around the world where we implement Community Health Evangelism. Our work in diverse countries is not a laboratory, but rather a continual real-world proving ground. The experienced gained hear feeds in to our credibility for our second strategy, being a trainer of other organization and individual. Through courses and seminars taught not just locally, but worldwide, we are able to accelerate the impact of Community Health Evangelism on the impoverished communities of this world. Finally, our strategy to the broader public audience is to provide education on both causes of poverty and dignified solutions.
Primary Risks
There is inherently more risk involved in funding human development achieved by volunteers than in building a well with paid workers. There is also much greater reward!
LifeWind International understands the risks that are involved and has developed strategies for mitigating those risks and ensuring success. The key is having the flexibility to go where God is moving. Workers must be trained to cast vision broadly, wait for fruit to ripen, and harvest what is ripe. An investment with LifeWind is an investment in people who know how to cast vision, champion alliances, identify needs and resources, facilitate learning, and empower people and communities through training and capacity building. The more of these people we can mobilize, and the longer we can keep them in the field, the greater the impact.
Past Performance
With a history stretching for more than twenty-five years, our organization and our outreach efforts have stood the test of time. But, time alone is not enough. We have continually expanded the reach of our efforts to some seventy-five countries spread across all continents of the globe. A strong testimony to our practices and methods comes from other organizations that come to LifeWind to be trained in the ways of Community Health Evangelism. This group of recognized ministries includes the likes of World Vision, Wycliffe and various denominational mission organizations.
