LifeWind Partners with Big Valley Grace Community Church and the Free Wheel Chair Mission

 

Help Us Raise $44,000 to Purchase and Deliver 550 Wheelchairs to Needy Families

LifeWind has partnered with the Free Wheel Chair Mission and Big Valley Grace Community Church in Modesto to distribute 550 specialized wheelchairs in the Philippines. These chairs are built from very durable materials and include large, treaded tires for use in rural areas. Through this program, we seek to provide mobility, inspire hope, and create an environment in which the disabled can flourish. Our vision extends beyond the disabled to their families and communities - a world in which Christ is exalted and the disabled live with equal dignity.  

Many of the recipients will be adults who, through accidents or birth defects, have been unable to walk and provide an income for their family. Due to the high cost of wheelchairs in the Philippines and restricted access to chairs that work well in rural areas, many of these individuals are forced to stay at home.

We will deliver 550 wheelchairs to disabled persons in different parts of the Philippines in association with Big Valley Grace Community Church and Free Wheel Chair Mission. We will raise awareness of disability, organize families of disabled persons in support groups, expand the reach of LifeWind's teams, and support the work of evangelism, discipleship, and church planting in LifeWind's program areas.
